About The Program

Lewis Bramlett will present the program. He is the great-grandson of F. E. Starnes, Sr., who was one of the original owners of the Opera House. When Lewis was a teenager he worked at Starnes Jewelry Store.  There he developed a fascination with the Albemarle Opera House. He heard many stories about it from members of his family. He has extensively researched the facility, events that took place there and businesses that occupied other portions of the building. He will share his knowledge on June 21st.

The Opera House is located on West Main Street above Starnes Jewelry Store and the Satin and Lace store. The entrance is located between the two businesses.
